Minimum wage changes

In line with the government increase in the NLW and the NMW occurring in April, our minimum PAYE rates have increased to accommodate the rise. With the NLW rising by 30 pence from £7.20 to £7.50 and the NMW rising by 10 pence from £6.95 to £7.05, you’ll need to ensure workers on the minimum rates are now being paid as outlined below.

Age 25 and over 21 to 24 18 to 20 Under 18 Apprentice
Pay £7.50 £7.05 £5.60 £4.05 £3.50

With the increase of rates, Umbrella companies will also be upping the minimum amount they can pay a worker. Through Umbrella, we believe workers will need to be on at least £9.40 an hour to ensure new rates are followed, this includes holiday pay, employers national insurance and pensions contributions where applicable.
